Trousers are not something that I can find easily. My 5’11 frame means that my gangly legs almost always exceed the general  census of trouser length for normal humans and I always end up with ankle grazers.

I’ve just come to the understanding that I will nearly always have to have trousers made specifically and specially for me. This is a good and bad thing. The good thing is I can use my creative mind to conjure a crazy, sexy cool design for myself that masses that endorse in everything that is Zara wont have but it also means that I can’t run into the high street for a last minute outfit for a dinner at Hakkasan.

I had these trousers made for me when I was in Ghana and had them altered by a seamstress over here. As soon as I slipped them on I envisioned wearing them with this white blazer from Zara. The tie around the waist give the outfit the little bit of personal style power and which means I didn’t have to suffocate it with one of my many belts.

I wore this outfit to Amelle’s party and all of my Auntie’s were in awe which made me laugh hysterically. I think I’ll have to alter them again to get that perfect fit but they’re alright for now.

I guess being leggy isn’t s always a curse.
