Once upon a time I was contemplating on deleting my blog. I felt that it was such a hassle and I was constantly comparing myself to other bloggers who were more creative, consistent and had a larger following than me.

I generally didn’t feel worthy. I would always question why people would want to follow me and started to deleted posts because I didn’t feel like it fulfilled my readers taste.

It’s so easy to get carried away with negative thoughts when you compare yourself to others because comparison is the thief of joy. As I’ve grown older I’ve come to realise that in life, passion is what keeps your light aflame and it’s so necessary in the blogging world as well as everything else you do in life

So many of you email me, stop me in the street and message me questions on how to make it in blogger land but honestly it’s like everything else in the world. All of us are unique and have something to offer. Even if you don’t believe it it’s true. All you need to do is figure out if you’re really genuinely passionate about something and understand why you really enjoying do the things you do.

Constantly remind yourself of your end goal and do NOT compare yourself to others because everyone has their own demons. I think I needed to write this post for myself rather than anything else just to remind myself to “keep swimming”.
