I always bang on about Balenciaga being one of my favorite brands and it truly is. The only barrier between Balenciaga and I are the prices. The price points of the pieces are so far over my budget I would literally be hungry for two months due to spending all my livelihood on a silk printed dress of some sort.
Whenever I want a garment or accessory from a designer brand that I cannot afford I either imitate the look by way of what is being stocked on the high street (zara never fails) or I try to find what I want on discounted sites such as Theoutnet.com Ebay, or vestiairecollective.com.
I really do try and push my focus away from buying designer clothes because most of the ones I’m drawn to aren’t timeless enough and down the line won’t be worth the investment. The only time I really will invest in a designer garment is if I know that it’s extremely rare and I can’t live without it.
I personally believe that the Balenciaga SS15 collection embodies everything that I want my personal style to resemble.
Unfortunately, I don’t have Balenciaga pockets (literally) so when I saw this dress from Lavish Alice, I had to think quickly. First for all its £13.00 which is basically the same price for a lunch at PRET . Secondly, I had to think of how I would style it to fit the same connotations and influences that I feel when I look at the Balenciaga collection.
I sit on the wall with the whole shoes with socks thing but these shoes with those socks? Yeah complete winner for me. It’s nice to be able to completely reinvent something that you own. I like the caged accents is this outfit are totally Alexander Wang approved.
