BALMAIN! The whole collection was overwhelming but in the greatest way possible. I really don’t know how Rousteing manages to come up with something different and fun but still doesn’t even budge from the Balmain brand and what it represents. I’m pretty sure that if you were to see anyone wear anything from Balmain you wouldn’t second guess where it was from (if they hadn’t already told you).

There is always a big feature of the peplum trend in Balmain’s catwalks and I think this is reason why peplum remains a current trend (that never seems to be going away but we like that). I love roustieng’s loyalty to femininity with the creations of the mid length fitted skirts.
All of his designs create such a feminine silhouettes.

I love the introduction of the fluorescent furs. Even thought I doubt we’ll see a lot of this is real life but I think we will see a lot of fluorescent trend in the summer rather than the winter. I’m crazy about the Gold embellishments and the colourful leathers as well as the khaki green army references! It’s safe to say that this was an AMAZING COLLECTION!

It’s a shame that Balmain is so expensive and is only a delight for the small elite but I do think that you will see some influences from the catwalk on the high street!
