If you follow me on instagram you’ll know that I’ve been eating a lot lately! I recently lost a stone due to my illness so I’m having as much fun as I can putting it all back on. My friends suggested we eat at Sticks ‘n’ Sushi on a Saturday night and I didn’t know what to expect as I hadn’t heard and read anything about it. We got to the restaurant having girlie chat AKA b*tchin’ about the whole world and it’s mother (favourite past time) whilst waiting for our food. The service was okay/good. Here is my honest review;

First of all there are too many pages on the menu. This is a good and a bad thing. Good because there are high resolution images of everything they have to offer. I like this because I hate menu’s that are too wordy descriptive that you don’t know if its a menu or a novel from Mr William Shakespeare himself. Also, I like to know and see what I’m getting.

I recently dined at Yauatcha (hated it) and ordered pork belly and it came with some surprise Chinese fungus. I literally looked like the bowls of a baby cow. I say I was surprise as it wasn’t listed on the menu! Like, you gotta let a girl know if her meat comes with fungus I mean, it should be protocol! The only reason why I would say that the menu at Sticks ‘n’ Sushi is annoying is because you ave to flip through it so many times that you miss the great things that they have to offer. Fisayo literally wrote her food order down on the napkin. Like, are you for serious? You better don’t!

The food came quite quickly and the staff were sorta-kinda-CouldBeALitteBitMore attentive. Although, every so often they’d run down stairs and all scream. I don’t really know why they were screaming but it was so odd that all the staff would run off to scream. On our second visit, we learned that as soon as customers would go to eat down stairs they’d all scream at them as some sort of welcome. Comedic!

The food was all DIVINE! I would absolutely recommended but be prepared to be startled when yo’ bill comes. Yeah, the menu says £9 this £3.50 that but our bill came up to £180 for 3 of us. We had one drink each but I had 4 desserts and on the second time we didn’t even eat that much and it was something like £160! It was very peculiar indeed.

Anyway, the food is bomb, the atmosphere is bomb so much so that we went back exactly a week after for more. It would be great for a casual birthday and most definitely a date!

Spend Per person £35-£60 depending on how you like to get down (ya feel me?)
