LETS TALK SKIN CARE!
So since forever I can remember my mum banging on about how important it is to wash and moisturise properly and blah blah blah. I used to get so annoyed when she would constantly analyse my face and say “Mel, you’re not cleansing properly!”. At that age I didn’t appreciate what she was saying because I’ve nearly always had good skin but now I know that she was right.

I’ve never suffered from acne and I hardly ever get spots. I like to change up my facial routine just so my skin doesn’t become complacent. It’s so important to keep your face clean and hydrated and there are three steps to ensure you do so.

CLEANSE

NEUTROGENA GRAPEFRUIT DAILY SCRUB

CLEAN AND CLEAR MORNING ENERGY SHINE CONTROL AND DAILY FACIAL WASH
I use one or the other when I’m having a bad skin day or when I’ve fallen asleep with my make up on. They’re quite deep cleansing and if my skin is really bad I use this in cohesion with my exfoliating glove.

OLAY REFRESHING FACE WASH
This face wash is very mild so I use this everyday and or after I’ve used one of the harsher face washes.

TONE

CLEAN AND CLEAR DEEP CLEANSING LOTION This lotion has a really harsh potent smell. I usually have to hold my breath when putting this on because it smells so toxic but since using this I rarely get spots! It’s amazing. This is the on thing I have not changed about my daily routine.

NEUTROGENA BLACKHEAD ELIMINATING CLEANSING LOTION
I use this straight after the first cleansing lotion to restore more moisture into my skin as the first one can be quite drying.

MOISTURISE
NIVEA DAY CREAM
I round off with some day cream before I put on make up. I’ll still put it on even if I decide not to wear make up. This cream is very hydrating and has the right amount of thickness. It leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth.
