Most of you know I’m an avid Zara buyer. I have been called the ‘Zara queen’ before but I wont discuss that further as I’m trying to excerise modesty. I think its more than noticeable that Zara seem to be the only retailer that shamelessly steal looks straight off of the runway and have not yet been captured. Really. I don’t know how they get away with the things that they do but in a way I’m happy. Don’t be mad let me explain.

Zara is like the pied piper of the fashion industry. You know? Taking from the rich to give to the poor. So in a way Zara could be depicted as a utilitarian company? The greatest good for the greatest number cc; my young homie Jeremy Bentham. See where I’m going with this? They create such clothes because they know that we can’t all afford designer items but we’ll settle for something similar as long as it’s cheaper.

So thank you Zara. For making us normal people look like we’re wearing Celine when really our Zara jumper was once £50 and was reduced to £9.99. Thank you Mr Pied Pieper. Thank you. I’m not saying its right because in a way I think it disrespects the craftsmanship of designer articles and hard work but its bound to happen I guess. And really, we as the normal public can only really work with what’s in the shops.

(See what I did there? I applied my lifeless criminology degree and philosphy A level to assess the ever so interesting fashion world. Can’t say I wasted your money, mummy!)
