I recently purchased an Olympus Pen. I’m not the greatest with cameras and probably could be considered quite dopey in regards to technology as a whole. I recently met up with blogger Hannah Crosskey from A Fashion Fix and I helped her shoot some images. I shot them on her Olympus Pen PL-7 and I was amazed and how easy it was to use. Almost fool proof. I was about to buy a Cannon myself so I was very happy that she schooled me on the Olympus.

I think it was the best investment for me because not only was I considering that which ever camera I would purchase was needed to be used to take pictures for the blog, I needed something that would be able to help me with YouTube videos as well. I’m happy that I didn’t get the cannon as it is quite bulky and the Olympus is extremely compact and can be put into the smallest of clutches. It produces great images and videos so it’s not lacking against its competitors.

I also bought a 45mm lens which produces the ‘glowy’ images. I’m sure you’ve noticed that bloggers tend to take shots whereby they are the focus and their background is somewhat blurred. This lens does exactly that. The basic kit comes with the 14-42mm lens which is a good starter lens but I would recommend the 45mm lens as well. You should definitely consider it if you’re a blogger or want to be one!
