I recently tweeted the other day that I like to surround myself with ‘doers’ rather than ‘dreamers’ because I, find myself to be a doer. It’s very ironic that a lot of people tend to sit and fantasise about their dreams rather than go out and turn them into goals when we’re in such an entrepreneurial era. It seems as though people are so familiar with fear that they’re happier when they’re fearful and unproductive because they don’t have to step out into the realm of the unknown.

Every single thing you use, eat, drink or even drive once started off as a dream and it may be the case that the person who invented said thing may not have even been the first to do so. The difference between them and those who aren’t their successors is that they turned their dreams into a goal and their goal into successes.

How many times have you seen someone doing something you wish you could do? How many times have you made excuses to help you justify that said person has some kind of luck and that is what differentiates them from you?

We sometimes look at someones successes and forget that they too had to take the leap of faith that we are scared to take. We see them at their pinnacle of success and find it hard to fathom that they could have ever been stood in the position that we are currently in.

Many of us forget that we have one life and we need to fulfil it to the absolute fullest. You can’t win if you don’t try and you definitely won’t get anywhere if you let fear deter you from the happiness that living out your dreams could offer you. Start by cancelling gout all the excuses that you make for yourself and your laziness because sometimes you are your own architect of your misfortune.

I challenge you all to do at least one thing this week that you believe could be of help towards your dreams or goals. Try and do one thing this week that your future self will thank you for!
